  1. 10. Bad acting
Is this a joke? Ewan McGregor is amazing. Portman did fine. Sam Jackson was a BAMF as usual. Hayden was amazing, especially his facial features and his physical movements. He made his emotions realistic. You can’t blame bad acting on a script.

    9. Bad Romance.
I don’t necessarily disagree, a lot of the script was cringe, but it didn’t ruin the prequels by any means.

    8. Bad writing
I can agree on this actually. The writing is poor. Honestly 9 and 10 can be both ruled out just for 8 because it all led to bad writing. So really you couldn’t even come up with 10 reasons so you took one of them and split it up into more than one. That’s just cheating.

    7. They forced in characters from the Original Trilogy
How is this bad at all? There’s nothing wrong with Anakin rebuilding C-3PO. R2-D2 is so heavily featured because Lucas has always said that R2-D2 was the narrator of the saga. Also I don’t see what’s wrong with Boba being a clone. That just gives his character more depth and makes him more original than just some guy who has cool armor and kills people for money. Also how can you criticize that battle on Chewbacca’s home planet, Kashyyyk? This actually connects into number 3. The Original Trilogy was supposed to have the Battle of Endor be on Kashyyyk with Chewbacca but limitations of technology and no CGI made it impossible for it to look half way decent.

    6. Too much politics
The politics made the prequels more interesting. It’s not even complicated in episode 1 like you claim. We are literally told that this Lord Sidious set it up for some plan he has.

    5. Midi-Chlorians
This doesn’t ruin the Force at all. It just makes the Force detectable, just like Qui-Gon says. The Force is still mysterious. We don’t know how it works, it’s goal, why some people can use it and some can’t, etc.

    4. Whiny Anakin
Is this even serious? Like was extremely whiny as well, especially in A New Hope. How can you by so hypocritical?

    3. Too much CGI
This has to be the worst one of the all to be honest. CGI made things so much more possible. With real sets we are only confined to the environments of Earth as was seen in the Original Trilogy. Without CGI we couldn’t ever have Coruscant, Kamino, and Felucia. Also new species were allowed to be created. Many of the species from the Original Trilogy were clunky and you could see puppet strings etc. the prequels made them believable and realistic. Also the prequels allowed giant battles to happen, like battle of Geonosis in episode 2 or the best Star Wars battle in all the films, the Battle over Coruscant in episode 3. Also this connects to point number 7. Thanks to CGI, the Battle of Kashyyyk actually happened, since it couldn’t back when Return of the Jedi was made.

    2. Plot Holes
How about when Mace Windu and Yoda literally discuss how the dark side is clouding their foresight and finishing the use of the Force? That’s why they can’t sense Palpatine, he’s too powerful. Why is there a child sized helmet? That’s ridiculous, we can turn that around in the Original Trilogy and ask “why in A New Hope did Luke conveniently become an expert pilot with an X-Wing when his whole life he just was a farm boy who ever piloted a Star fighter before?” Plot, that’s why.

    1. Jar Jar
Personally I don’t mind Jar Jar, I have the ability to just block him out, but I can understand that reasoning. But then again, Jar Jar is a visual masterpiece. The CGI used to create Jar Jar is so realistic, you can’t deny that, it’s just fact. And we are talking about 1999 CGI, pretty impeccable if you ask me.

    Dishonorable Mentions:
    1. Idiot jedi
I explained this in point 2

    2. Re-edits of the Original Trilogy
The re edits made the whole saga feel connected. It made it feel like one big story.

    3. The Jesus Implication
How is this even a bad thing? It’s just a type of story. Our hero has mysterious origins, why hate on the prequels for using it but not the hundreds of other stories that did it? You can’t just say it’s bad and not even explain it.

Overall, I have refuted almost all your points you have given. I can say with upmost certainty that you are just plain wrong about the prequels

  2. Proof that Star Wars is like a member of our family, once you shit on one of us, we attack like ants. Even if there not the most beloved ones.
